Fees & Insurance

Clear, transparent information about the cost of working together.

Do You Offer Free Consultations?

Every new client begins with a free consultation before any commitment is made.

  • Private pay clients receive a 30-minute consultation to discuss your history, goals, and whether Hayfield Healing is the right fit for where you are right now.

  • Insurance clients receive a 15-minute consultation to confirm coverage, answer initial questions, and determine fit.

  • Prospective intensive clients receive a 30-minute consultation to assess readiness, determine the right modality, and select the appropriate package. This consultation is required before any intensive is scheduled.

What Are Your Fees for Ongoing Individual Therapy?

Sessions at Hayfield Healing are 60 minutes as standard. 90-minute sessions are available when clinically appropriate.

Hayfield Healing operates on a sliding scale. Fees are determined collaboratively based on your individual financial circumstances, with the goal of making quality trauma therapy accessible without compromising the integrity of the work.

60-minute session: $180-$225

90-minute session: $270-$338

A limited number of slots are available at the lower end of the scale. If cost is a barrier, please mention this during your free consultation.

Do You Take Insurance?

Dr. Niitepold accepts the following insurance plans and bills directly on your behalf:

Florida clients:

  • Aetna

  • Florida Blue

  • VA Community Care (CCN)

New York clients:

  • Aetna

Clients from other states:

  • I am currently not in network with health insurance in other states, though you still have the option to work with me through private pay.

What If I Don’t Have The Insurance You Accept? Can I Still Work With My Insurance?

If you carry a plan not listed above, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits. A superbill (itemized receipt) is available upon request that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your out-of-network mental health benefits before your first session.

Please note that insurance is not accepted for therapy intensives. Intensive packages are self-pay only.

Virtual Therapy Beyond Florida and New York

Through PsyPact authorization, Dr. Niitepold can provide virtual private-pay therapy to clients in approximately 40 participating states, in addition to Florida and New York where she is fully licensed.

Important to note: PsyPact applies only to private-pay clients. Insurance plans (Aetna, Florida Blue) and VA Community Care can only be used in the states where Dr. Niitepold holds traditional licensure (Florida and New York). If you live in a PsyPact participating state outside of Florida or New York and want to work with Dr. Niitepold, services would be on a private-pay basis only.

If you're unsure whether your state is covered or how this applies to your situation, the free consultation is the place to clarify.

Cancellation Policy for Individual Therapy

Hayfield Healing requires 48 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling of individual therapy sessions.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are charged the full session fee. This fee is not billable to insurance and is the client's responsibility.

Repeated late cancellations may affect your ability to continue scheduling at Hayfield Healing.

Payment

Payment for individual sessions is due at the time of service. Hayfield Healing accepts:

  • Credit and debit cards through Ivy Pay

  • Zelle

Intensive deposits and balances are accepted through the same methods.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs for healthcare services, including therapy, if you are uninsured or if you choose to pay out of pocket rather than use your insurance.

A Good Faith Estimate provides a written estimate of the expected cost of your care for the next 12 months. It does not obligate you to receive those services and it is not a contract.

You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any time during your care. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute that bill.

To request a Good Faith Estimate or for questions about your rights under the No Surprises Act, please contact Dr. Niitepold directly at maria@hayfieldhealing.com.
