Trauma therapy for people who have it together on the outside
Hayfield Healing offers trauma therapy in Gulf Breeze and the greater Pensacola area. From the outside, this is a place where people have it together. Good weather, water views, a strong sense of community. And many of the people who reach out to me do have it together, at least on the surface.
What they also have is a nervous system that has been running on high for years. A history they have managed rather than healed. A life that looks fine from the outside and feels harder than it should on the inside. This practice exists for people who are ready to close that gap.

You might be looking for support if...
Does any of this sound familiar?
•
You are high-functioning at work and in your relationships, but underneath you are exhausted in a way that rest does not fix
•
You grew up in or around military culture, and asking for help has always felt like something other people do
•
You live somewhere beautiful and still feel disconnected, like you are going through the motions of a life that should feel better than it does
•
You have been in therapy before and it helped up to a point, but the pattern itself has not changed
•
Something happened years ago that you thought you were over, and you are starting to realize you are not

In-person therapy
The Gulf Breeze Office
My office is at 3000 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Suite 19, a few minutes east of the Pensacola Bay Bridge in a quiet professional building. If you are coming from Pensacola, you are crossing the bridge and heading east along the Parkway. From Navarre, you are heading west on 98. The drive is easy and the parking is free.
This is not a waiting room full of people. It is a small, private office in a low-key building. Most people tell me they were not sure what to expect walking in the first time, and that it felt easier than they thought it would.
Sessions here use EMDR, Brainspotting, and the Comprehensive Resource Model. These are specialized approaches that relatively few therapists in the area are trained in. They work at the level of the nervous system, which means they do not require you to retell your story over and over to make progress.
Who finds their way here
Who comes to therapy from the Pensacola area?
Most of my Gulf Breeze and Pensacola area clients are people the world around them would describe as capable. They are professionals, business owners, veterans, spouses of active duty, people who have built real lives and carry real weight underneath them.
The Pensacola area has a particular culture around strength and self-sufficiency. The military presence shapes that even for people who have never served. Asking for help is not something that comes naturally here, and many of the people I work with waited a long time before reaching out.
What they have in common is that talking about it has not been enough. They understand themselves. They want something to actually change.
