Trauma Therapy for Professionals, Veterans, Military Families, and Other Adults In Pace & Milton

Most of my clients in the Pace and Milton area are people the world around them would describe as capable. They balance demanding careers, raise families in our quieter corner of Santa Rosa County, and have built real lives for themselves. Life looks steady from the outside, but inside they feel like everything could fall apart at any minute.
This practice is for adults who carry more than their share: professionals, caregivers, veterans, and high-achievers who are tired of white-knuckling through life. I specialize in complex trauma, childhood trauma, PTSD, and recovery from narcissistic abuse. I also work with the patterns these experiences leave behind: low self-esteem, perfectionism, relationship struggles, and insomnia.
I work with adults in Pace and Milton who come from every background. Your culture and identity are respected and important to the work we do together. I offer both LGBTQ-affirming and culturally sensitive care to immigrants and First-Gen Americans. My practice is also open to military families serving at NAS Whiting Field and the wider military and veteran community. As an Estonian immigrant and a veteran, I bring a personal understanding of what it means to navigate life feeling like an outsider.
Benefits Of Somatic Therapy In Pace & Milton
What Does A Regulated Nervous System Feel Like?
Most of my clients in Pace and Milton already know what you would like to change. But what does it feel like once you have healed from your trauma? Therapy is not just about talking through the past; it is about fundamentally upgrading how your mind and body operate in the present.
After successfully processing the trauma, my clients soon experience deeply significant changes. They tell me that they finally understand their nervous system's cues and trust their own responses. Others tell me they feel a deep, unshakable belief in their own inherent worth. On a daily basis, many of my clients feel relief from the constant background hum of chronic stress and start living from a place of calm clarity.

Frequently Asked Questions
MY CLIENTS FROM PACE AND MILTON ASK
More on trauma therapy
Do you offer in-person trauma therapy in Pace or Milton?
I provide in-person trauma therapy at 3000 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Suite 19, in Gulf Breeze. The office serves clients from Pensacola, Navarre, Pace, Milton, Pensacola Beach, and surrounding communities.
Is virtual trauma therapy available if I don't want to drive?
Yes. I offer online therapy for my clients in Pace and Milton, as well as clients throughout Florida and New York and in participating PSYPACT states.
Do you work with veterans and military families?
Yes. I work with veterans, service members, adult military spouses and partners, and adult children of service members. As a Marine veteran, I understand aspects of military culture, identity, separation, and reintegration that can be difficult to explain to a civilian provider.
What trauma therapy approaches do you use?
My primary modalities are EMDR, Brainspotting, and the Comprehensive Resource Model. Each approach works somewhat differently, but all can help reach trauma responses and nervous system patterns that may not change through insight or talk therapy alone. I will help determine which approach best fits your history, symptoms, and capacity for processing.
Will I have to describe everything that happened to me?
No. You are always in control of what you share. I can support you through trauma processing without needed to know all the details.
Can I work on how my childhood affects my parenting?
Yes. We can explore the expectations, reactions, and family patterns you bring into parenting. The focus is your experience and goals; I work with adults age 18 and older and do not provide child therapy.
How do we decide between weekly therapy and an intensive?
We'll consider your goals, readiness, support system, schedule, and treatment needs. Weekly care offers ongoing support, while an intensive provides extended time around an agreed focus. More concentrated treatment isn't automatically the better option.
Can I use my insurance for therapy?
I accept private pay nationwide and VA Community Care in Florida. For all other insurance, I operate as an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for reimbursement. Learn more about my out-of-pocket fees here.
